Sara Kae’s Book Review: “Would Like To Meet” by Rachel Winters

Who else likes cheesy romantic novels, especially in the summer time? I know I do. I am always on the lookout for something that is unrealistically romantic, and has that classic happy ending, because let’s be real, my love life usually includes neither of those.
While browsing through Chapters recently I picked up the book, “Would Like To Meet,” by Rachel Winters. It’s  based on Evie Summers who is an assistant at a film agency in London, England.
She has to convince her film agency’s biggest client, Ezra Chester, to write the romantic-comedy screenplay he owes producers, and if she doesn’t her career will be over. It’s great if you’re looking for a light read, but still want some drama, romance and entertaining situations.
I found Evie to be very relatable, kind of naïve, but still with a great head on her shoulders.  She navigates her life situations in the same way I feel many of us would.
However, at times, I find her behaviour whiney and childish (but I know we’ve ALL been there – it’s easier to play the victim).
This book has elements to it that can inspire a person who may be struggling in their current occupational field, with their goals, friendships or love life.
And of course the ending is CHEESY. But hey… that’s exactly what I wanted!
