I have just moved downtown and I am on the search for MY coffee shop. The place where I will find myself on a Sunday afternoon writing my to do lists and game plans while pouring my heart into my journal trying to act like I am starring in a romantic comedy movie. And of course, sipping on my favourite latte.
Here is my hit list:
Unfortunately COVID-19 has made it impossible to take a seat at this super cute cafe but it is still open for take out from 6 AM to 5 PM.
I will definitely be trying the coffee and coming back for the vibe later.
Rooster’s Coffee House
Located: Corktown, King St. East
This King Street East gem is cozy, and it’s open from 7 AM to 3 PM from Monday to Friday, and 8 AM to 4 PM on Saturday and Sunday. They are taking precautions by limiting the amount of costumers in store, but coffee is always available for take out.
Located: Old Toronto, Shaw & Yarmouth
The white exposed brick has me sold. It’s tucked in the corner of Shaw and Yarmouth, and the coffee shop is open from 7:30 AM to 6 PM from Monday to Friday, and then 8 AM to 6 PM on Saturday and Sunday. The available seating inside also makes it possible to sit down and enjoy their delicious sandwiches and more!
5 Elements Expresso
This Avenue Road haunt is a chic hang out that’s open until 6 PM from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM on Saturday, and 8:30 to 5 PM on Sunday. This Italian-inspired cafe focuses on the five elements of espresso: blend, grinder, machine, barista skill and the maintenance of equipment.
I am looking forward to checking these shops off my list and getting back to you what is my favourite.
I will take ALL into consideration…
The comfort level of the seating
And possible love interests (I know we all want to fall in love in a coffee shop!)
Don’t worry, I got you covered!
