The August long weekend is right around the corner, and we are here to keep you in the know of what is open and closed in Toronto on Monday, August 2nd.

- Mail delivery
- Public libraries
- Community Centres
- Garbage and Recycling Centres
- City Hall
OPEN
Transit
- TTC will be operating on the holiday service schedule.
- GoTransit will be operating on the Sunday schedule.
Grocery
- Grocery stores are open citywide, although they will be operating on holiday hours.
- Beer stores will be open from 11 AM – 6 PM.
- LCBO will be operating on holiday hours.
Food and Drink
- Restaurants and bars that are not typically closed on Monday will most likely remain open. We recommend calling ahead and making a reservation if possible!
Malls and Attractions
- Malls will be open citywide; however, they will run on holiday hours.
- Indoor and outdoor attractions will remain open such as the CN tower, Toronto Islands as well as the AGO. If these are places you are thinking of visiting be sure to check online and book in advance if required.
