What’s Open and Closed this Labour Day Long Weekend!
The September long weekend is quickly approaching, and we are here to keep you in the know of what is open and closed on Monday September 6th !

- Banks
- Government Offices
- Mail delivery
- Public libraries
- Community Centres
- Garbage and Recycling Centres
- City Hall
OPEN
Transit
- TTC will be operating on the holiday service schedule
- GoTransit will be operating on the Sunday schedule
Food and Drink
- Restaurants and Bars that are not typically closed on Monday will most likely remain open. I would recommend calling ahead just to be sure!
- LCBO will be closed
Grocery
- Most major grocery stores will be CLOSED, although there are a few expectations. We recommend calling or checking online to confirm if your store will be open!
- Select “The Beer Store” locations will be open; however, operating on holiday hours.
Malls and Attractions

- Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada
- Art Gallery of Ontario
- Movie Theatres
- Museum of Illusions
- Ontario Science Centre
- Stackt Market
- Toronto Zoo
If these are places you are thinking of visiting be sure to check online and book in advance if required. The Canadian National Exhibition, MOCA and Royal Ontario Museum will remain closed.
