Here’s What Is Open And Closed In The Greater Toronto Area On Thanksgiving Monday

Thanksgiving weekend is here, and many stores and services in the Greater Toronto Area will be operating on modified hours for the occasion. Here’s what will be open and closed in the Greater Toronto Area.

For starters, all banks, libraries, post offices, and government offices will be closed on Monday.

Transit

If you need to get around the city on Monday, city transit will be operating on a modified schedule:

  • TTC will be operating on a holiday schedule
  • GO Transit will be operating on a Sunday schedule 

Grocery Stores & Restaurants

All LCBO and The Beer Store locations will be closed on Monday. Likewise, most major grocery stores in the Greater Toronto Area will also be closed. However, some stores will remain open on modified hours:

  • Al Premium at 1970 Eglinton Ave, East will be open from 8 am to 9 pm
  • Al Premium at 50 Alton Towers Circle will be open from 7 am to 10 pm
  • Cabbagetown Organics at 499 Parliament St will be open from 10 am to 9 pm
  • Coco Market at 1064 Yonge St will be open from 10 am to 7 pm
  • Galleria Supermarket at 7040 Yonge St will continue to be open 24 hours
  • Galleria Supermarket at 865 York Mills Rd will be open from 7 am to 10 pm
  • Galleria Supermarket at both 558 Yonge St and 351 Bloor St West will be open from 8 am to 10 pm
  • Fresh & Wild at 69 Spadina Ave will be open from 9 am to 8 pm
  • Kiss My Pans at 567 College St will be open from 9 am to 6 pm
  • The Food Depot at 155 Dupont St will continue to be open 24 hours
  • The Kitchen Table at 10 Queens Quay West, as well as the one at 705 King Street West, will be open from 6 am to 12 am
  • The Kitchen Table at 389 Spadina Rd will be open from 7 am to 12 am
  • Loblaws at 60 Carlton St will be open from 7 am to 8 pm
  • Metro at 444 Yonge St will be open from 8 am to 6 pm
  • Pusateri’s at 1539 Avenue Rd will be open from 7 am to 6 pm
  • Pusateri’s 57 Yorkville Ave will be open from 8 am to 7 pm
  • Runner Market at 141 Berkeley St will be open from 7 am to 9 pm
  • Saks Food Hall at 25 The West Hall will be open from 8 am to 6 pm
  • Stock TC at 2388 Yonge St will be open from 8 am to 9 pm
  • Whole Foods at 87 Avenue Rd will be open from 8 am to 9 pm
  • All H Mart, Rabba, T&T, and Summerhill Market locations will operate on regular hours

As for restaurants, it’s fairly hit or miss with what is open and what is closed. We would recommend calling ahead if you plan on dining out on Monday.

Malls

If you’re looking to take part in some retail therapy on Monday, take note that most malls and retail stores will be closed. The following malls will remain open on a modified schedule:

  • CF Toronto Eaton Centre will be open from 11 am to 7 pm
  • Hillcrest Mall will be open from 11 am to 6 pm
  • Pacific Mall will be open from 11 am to 8 pm
  • Promenade will be open from 11 am to 6 pm
  • Square One Shopping Centre will be open from 11 am to 6 pm
  • Toronto Premium Outlets will be open from 9:30 am to 7 pm
  • Vaughan Mills will be open from 10 am to 8 pm

Attractions

If you need to entertain family members from out of town, the following attractions will be open on Monday:

  • Art Gallery of Ontario will be open from 10:30 am to 4 pm
  • Aga Khan Museum will be open from 10 am to 5:30 pm
  • The CN Tower will be open from 10 am to 9 pm
  • Gardiner Museum will be open from 10 am to 5 pm
  • The Hockey Hall of Fame will be open from 10 am to 4 pm
  • Museum of Illusions will be open from 11 am to 7 pm
  • Ontario Place will be open from 6 am to 11 pm
  • The Ontario Science Centre will be open from 10 am to 5 pm
  • Ripley’s Aquarium will be open from 10 am to 8 pm
  • Stackt Market will be open from 12 pm to 11 pm
  • The Toronto Zoo will be open from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm

Also, all movie theatres in the Greater Toronto Area will remain open on Monday with regular hours in place.
