Here’s What’s Open and Closed in Toronto This Family Day

Family Day is about spending time with your loved ones. So, if you’re planning on going out to spend time with your loved ones, here’s a look at what’s open and closed this Monday in Toronto.

All banks, government buildings, and libraries will be closed on Family Day. However, the TTC will be running on a holiday service schedule. Select Shoppers Drug Mart and Rexall locations will also be open for your shopping and pharmaceutical needs, so check your closest location for hours. Lastly, mail delivery will still be happening on Monday.

Most major grocery store chains will be closed on Monday. Likewise, all The Beer Store and LCBO locations will also be closed. Some local restaurants may also be closed, so please call ahead if you plan on dining out. Select Tim Hortons and Starbucks locations will be open, as well as the Loblaws at 60 Carlton Street. Please call your local independently run grocery stores to see if they will be open on Monday.

The majority of malls will be closed for Family Day. However, you can still get some retail therapy in at the following locations:

  • CF Toronto Eaton Centre
  • CF Markville
  • Hillcrest Mall
  • Pacific Mall
  • Promenade
  • Square One Shopping Centre
  • Toronto Premium Outlets
  • Vaughan Mills
  • Yorkville Village

If you’re looking to get out to any attractions, then we have good news. Most of them are open. The only attractions that are closed for Family Day are Canada’s Wonderland and MOCA. Likewise, all movie theatres are also open regular hours on Family Day.
