Candy Crush Saga Among Finalists For Video Game Hall of Fame

Mobile developer King‘s Candy Crush Saga is among this year’s finalists for the Video Game Hall of Fame. Other finalists this year include Ubisoft‘s Assassin’s Creed, Minesweeper, Capcom‘s Resident Evil, and Nintendo‘s The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Voting will take place among a panel of international judges, as well as the general public. Members of the general public can vote on their favourite games from now until March 24th. The three games that receive the most votes from the general public will be counted as a Player’s Choice Ballot, and be cast among the ballots from the judges.

Finalists that are successfully inducted are considered to be heavily influential not only in the video game industry but in popular culture as a whole. Last year’s inductees included the likes of Microsoft Flight Simulator, Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?, and Animal Crossing. The inductees for 2022 will be inducted on May 5th.
