Sterlin Harjo’s Reservation Dogs is Back This August For Season 2

The wait is almost over! Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi‘s Reservation Dogs is back for season 2 on August 3rd, and FX has the trailer to prove it! This new trailer comes after the first season premiered last summer to high praise from critics and viewers alike. The series ended up on over 80 year-end best lists, winning the Gotham Award for “Breakthrough Series – Short Form”, and getting nominated for “Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy” at the 2022 Golden Globe Awards, among other accolades.

According to FX, the series follows the lives of four Indigenous teenagers in rural Oklahoma, as they spend their days committing crime and fighting it. After the death of their friend Daniel one year prior to the events of the series, the gang wrestles with a desire to move to California, the way Daniel dreamed of. But first they need to tie up loose ends in their lives and community, and make preparations to leave. The series stars Devery JacobsD’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Lane Factor, and Paulina Alexis.

Reservation Dogs is co-created by Sterlin Harjo (Love and Fury) and Taika Waititi (Thor: Love and Thunder, What We Do in the Shadows, Jojo Rabbit) and executive produced by Harjo, Waititi and Garrett Basch (What We Do in the Shadows, The Night Of).  The second season premieres August 3rd on Hulu in the United States, and Disney+ in Canada.
