The finalists for this years National Indigenous Music Awards have been revealed. The three big categories are Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year. The contenders for Artist of the Year are The Kid LAROI, Jessica Mauboy, Baker Boy, Electric Fields, Thelma Plum and, last but not least, King Stingray. Nominated for Album of the Year is Gela by Baker Boy, Emma Donovan & The Putbacks with Under These Streets, I Don’t Know Who to Call by Jem Cassar=Daley, Legacy by Birdz, Dallas Woods’lbum Julie’s Boy and My songs 1989 – 2021 by Archie Roach. Last we have Song of the Year nominees with Backseat of my Mind by Thelma Plum, Made for Silence by Miiesha, Miikumana by King Stingray, Sometime by Mo Ju and Barkaa with King Brown. Winners will be announced next month on August 6th.
