
Indigenous Music Countdown Recap – July 11th to 15th
Here is this weeks recap of the top 10 tracks from the Indigenous Music Countdown!
In at number 10 Mi’kmaq country singer Jason Benoit with Devil in a Bottle. Innu singer Claude Mckenzie is at 9 this week with his folk-pop single Uptime.
Number 8 is Find A Way Ft. Dani Saldo by Métis rapper Troy Junker, a inspiring song about finding a way past your problems. Our second Métis artist on the list is Kaeley Jade, at number 7 with her power ballad Ego.
Country artist Richard Inman takes the number 6 spot with Lovin’ Rose. Ancestors, a song about ancestral pride by Tobique First Nation artist Mike Bern is number 5 this week.
The RA11N, a Planis Cree rapper comes in at number 4 with IYKYK. In third this week is Dig Me Out, a song inspired by the unmarked graves that were uncovered on the grounds of former residential schools last summer by Miesha and the Spanks.
Staying in second place is folk-rock song SKODEN by Digging Roots. In the top spot this week, Mr. Tie by Six Nations of the Grand River artist Shawnee Kish, an amazing pop bop.
