What’s open and closed this long weekend in Toronto?

With Thanksgiving almost upon us, it’s always useful to know what will be open and closed during the long weekend. While most things are closed, there are many activities that are still open to do on Monday.

All government offices, banks, libraries, and community centres will be closed on Monday, October 10th, as well as Beer Store and LCBO locations.

Transit

The TTC will be running on a holiday schedule this Monday.

GO Transit will be operating under a Sunday schedule this Monday.

Grocery Stores

Most grocery stores will be closed on Monday, with the exception of H-Mart and T&T Supermarkets being open across the GTA.

Malls

Several malls will be closed on Monday. These include:

  • Dufferin Mall
  • Fairview Mall
  • Scarborough Town Centre
  • Sherway Gardens
  • Shops at Don Mills
  • Yorkdale Mall

There will be a select few malls that will remain open on Monday. Square One Shopping Centre, Markville Mall, Pacific Mall, and Hillcrest Mall will all be open from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m., and the CF Easton Centre will be open until 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Attractions

Just because a lot is closed during the long weekend, doesn’t mean you can’t have fun!

  • The CN Tower will be open from 9:30 a.m. until 9 p.m.
  • PumpkinFest Toronto will be happening at Downsview Park from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
  • The 175th anniversary of the Woodbridge Fair will be happening at the Woodbridge Fairgrounds, from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.
  • The Toronto Zoo will be open from 9:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.
  • The Royal Ontario Museum will be open from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
  • Ripley’s Aquarium will be open from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m.
