The 2022 American Music Awards took place last night, and Taylor Swift won big. She ended up taking home all six of the awards she was nominated for, including Artist of the Year. The “Anti-Hero” singer beat out the likes of Harry Styles, Beyoncé, and Canadian chart-toppers The Weeknd and Drake for the top honour. This year’s ceremony was notable for introducing some new categories, including Favourite Afrobeats Artist, Favourite K-Pop Artist, Favourite Rock Song, and Favourite Rock Album. The Favourite Touring Artist and Favourite Soundtrack categories also made a return this year after being paused due to COVID-19.
