INTERVIEW: Cary Miller on The Making of Star Wars (Anangong Miigaading), A New Hope

Elmnt fm’s Vanessa Landriault recently had the chance to sit down with Cary Miller, Project Manager for Star Wars (Anangong Miigaading), A New Hope. They discuss how the project came together, the challenge of adapting iconic Star Wars terminology for the Ojibwe language, and so much more.

Star Wars (Anangong Miigaading), A New Hope is the Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe) version of the classic 1977 film Star Wars: A New Hope, and was made in collaboration with Walt Disney Studios, Lucasfilm, Dakota Ojibwe Tribal Council, The University of Manitoba, and APTN.

The film is playing exclusively in select Cineplex theatres across Canada. Click here for dates and showtimes. The film is expected to come to Disney Plus and APTN in the future.
