The blue sky woman “Iskwē” performs new music live in Toronto

Candian singer-songwriter iskwē|ᐃᐢᑫᐧ is a proud Cree Métis and a citizen of the Manitoba Métis Federation. Iskwē has traveled from Toronto to Newyork, and Los Angeles, developing her sound. Iskwē’s music explores a range of ambient sound effects and beats as well as electronic rhythms and indigenous sounds.

Her 2019 album acākosīk calls out the systematic abuses against Canada’s Indigenous peoples and features the JUNO award-winning song “Little Star.”

Iskwē has returned to Toronto for her first tour in recent years. On December 2, 2023, Iskwē will be performing at the TD Music Hall, Allied Music Center. Where she will debut, new music including “I Get High” featuring German singer, Nina Hagen.  

Iskwē plans toIskwē plans to continually release new music in 2024 as she prepares for another show in New York City at the New Colossus Festival in March.
