Toronto is All About the Drive-In

In a year of many unexpected events, the drive-in theatre is making a comeback. Many of us have been missing a night out, live music, and movies on the big screen. A drive-in theatre can give you all three! And from the socially distanced safety of a car. As long as you’ve got access to wheels, you’re going to want to plan some summer evenings here:

The new Toronto-Shines drive-in at Ontario Place will offer a full night of entertainment – a comedian, live music, and a movie!

The films are being programmed in partnership with Hot Docs, imagineNATIVE, and TIFF.  You’ll feel a mix of  old-school vibes with modern times when you order food through an online app and a “roller-blading car hop” will deliver it straight to your car.

CityView, the new Rebel nightclub parking lot-turned-drive-in, will be presenting films programmed by Inside Out, Reel Asian Film Festival, Reelworld Film Festival and Regent Park Film Festival, plus, they’re bringing live music to the big outdoor screen, including A Tribe Called Red!
